Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everybody!! I'd say this Christmas was pretty good, not as much snow as I would have liked but in 26 days I'll be getting all the snow I want and then some, so I'm not too bummed. This year I got a webcam (awesome!) which I am pleased to say works excellently!! And a new camera!! Yayy!! I also got a cashmere sweater, and some books. Very nicee. I definitely ate too much this Christmas. I feel like, in the past 24 hours, I have had nothing at all healthy to eat. Just cookies and cake, etc. I'm going up to Vermont in a couples days, Saturday or Sunday. Should be good. I heard they got a lot of snow the other day and hopefully it'll snow some more in the meantime. My brother is going up to Michigan on Saturday so I should have a very relaxing vacation in Vermont. I'm excited. I have so much history homework though; ughhhh. Alrightyyy.. bye!!! Happy Holidays!

30 Days

There are 30 days until I leave for Colorado. That's only one month!! Honestly I'm starting to get a little scared, just to be leaving basically my whole life behind, but I'm more happy/excited. I'm excited for the abundance of snow out there, even though there's snow here, but its probably better out there. And also the mountains and the gorgeous scenery should be good. I'm slightly worried about the cold, but I think I'll manage. Today is Carl's birthday!!!! YAY!! Carl is my dog and today he is one year old!!!!! This is him--to the left.
I'm going to tell you a story now. Last night, there was an incredibly bogus train ride from Grand Central to Larchmont. It all started off fine and normal, just your average, everyday train ride. The train left Grand Central at 8:40. We didn't get to Larchmont until 10!!! It was actually really ridiculous; apparently there were major electrical problems that caused us to be stuck in Pelham for about an hour or so. Then there was this guy on the loudspeakers on the train that kept saying these things, and nobody was really sure what he was saying and at some points we weren't even sure if he was speaking English...that part was kinda funny, but after he stopped talking it got boring. Finally we had to switch trains because ours was dead and then we got home allright. Very exciting....I'm going to go read a book.

awesomeness

I'm counting tonight as the first official snow of the season aka AWESOME. Hopefully it sticks but who knows? At any rate, I am extremely happy!!! I just watched the movie Old School on TV, it was completely ridiculous as usual but worth many good laughs as only the kick ass combo of Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn and Luke Wilson can bring. Now Wedding Crashers is on, another classic. Also on TV, on abc family its Harry Potter Weekend!!!! They're showing sneak peeks of the next movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in theaters July 17 slash 10 days after I turn 17!!!! WOOOT. Today is Saturday December 6th and tomorrow is December 7th and Mrs. Jacobs is officially due to have her baby!!! So she could literally have him/her any second now!! YAY!! Today was a good day. I went into NYC with a few friends of mine, we visited the Tales of Beedle the Bard at some library and then visited this little holiday fair thing. It was good; the entire city seemed so crowded though, I guess thats just what happens in a big city on Saturday before an extremely major holiday. Tomorrow is homework day, blehhhh, and then school Monday. I have a math test thats split in half for Monday and Tuesday, which really means that just in case I don't bomb it on Monday, not to fear, there's always Tuesday. Fun. This weekend was WAY too short...suckks. I seriously needed to do some Christmas shopping but hopefully I'll find time tomorrow. 40 some odd days until I leave for Colorado; so psyched!!!!! The words CAN NOT WAIT don't even describe it. Track meet Wednesday at the Armory--should be a blast [not]. I'm beginning to feel the reals stresses of junior year and let me tell you, the words fuck my life (fml) have taken on a whole new meaning.

post-it notes

Right now I'm in Michigan. Yesterday I visited Hamilton and Colgate; they were good even though we had to drive through practically a blizzard to get there. So from New York we drove through Canada to get to Michigan. The customs official was quizzing us about stuff, to see if we were illegal or something. Luckily we made it back into the U.S. Then we missed our exit and had to drive around Detroit for a bit, but we found the road finally. There is some snow on the ground and I slipped on the ice when I went running this morning. It hurt. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! YAY!! I thought I would copy Caroline and add a list of what I'm thankful for, hahaha; this is not in order of what I like best, just in the order that I thought of them in.
1. Pie. All kinds, I don't discriminate when it comes to dessert.
2. Music; its what got me through a 7+ hour car trip, plus it is essential to my life in general.
3. Snow! I love it, a lot.
4. I love my friends, they are awesome!
5. Socks!! Without them my feet would be cold.
6. Air mattresses; I slept on one last night and it was very comfortable.
7. Books, especially some of the great American classics like Harry Potter and Twilight.
8. William Beckett. Enough said.
9. Carl, I love my doggie. I feel bad though that he has to be in the kennel for thanksgiving.
10. Cameras; you can do so much cool stuff with them- I took this cool picture of a pencil at Colgate, I like it.
11. Ceilings; Imagine life without a roof. That would suck.
12. Colorado!! I think like 57ish days until I leave, I cannot wait!

Theres so much more stuff that I love, except for salmon and essays. Those two will never be on my list.
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

SONG OF MY LIFE

best song ever, at least for now:

Politics

So America has a new president. Its Obama. I'm not 100% thrilled as maybe you can tell. I understand that it is a big step to have our first black president, not just for America but for the world; however, just because he is black doesn't mean he'll make a good president. Also, I don't really agree with some of his policies and other generally democratic ideas. Obama doesn't have that much experience either, in my opinion. I think that Sarah Palin is she was VP, it would have been equally historical as Obama's presidency. She has experience too, and she built up her career all by herself. That, I think, is true feminism. I think that the Republicans need to get their act together in the next four years. Granted, I would have preferred McCain, but he wasn't the best candidate either. Hopefully Obama will make good decisions  and do what America needs.

How am I not fat?

I have a whole pumpkin-full of candy in my locker. I feel kinda sick too, too much chocolate, because now its about half empty. Its really annoying too, because I have to keep locking my locker so people don't steal candy, but then I have to actually open it. And candy in my locker just makes me eat more in general, and that's bad because today is our last soccer game of the season and I want to have real energy and not just sugar highs that burn out quick. I don't know how I don't get fat, when I think about it I eat a lot of unhealthy things, even though I hate eating. SO much, its so tedious. I guess because I exercise a lot, mostly because I enjoy it, but it helps me not get fat. This blog is really pointless so far. I'm sorry that its so stupid, and if you lose brain cells from reading it. Hopefully later on it will get more interesting. Friday is Halloween!! YAY! Maybe there will be a new post on Halloween, I'm not sure; we shall see... I should end this right now before it gets any dumber.

my math textbook

I thought I lost my math textbook. It was really scary. I hate losing things and I never do; I'm so good at keeping track of stuff. And when I lose something I like can't stop thinking about it. Its really sort of bad actually. I was contemplating taking someone else's, but I didn't. But finally, my friend Caroline "had it in her locker"/ STOLE it. I'm not even sure why I cared so much, like its a math textbook. I HATE math! But now its found, yay! And also, I really really really really hate school lunches, they suck. This whole week its been so gross. I really should start bringing my own lunch. Anyway, I feel very relieved that my math textbook is back in my locker.

Smuggling Muffins and more

Katelyn and I just smuggled an abnormally large muffins outside. Past like 5 teachers. It was fun. The muffins were lemon poppy seed, they were okay. Then we took pictures on Katelyn's intense camera of muffins and a some words on the picnic table that say Peace Love Jonas. The Jonas part annoyed me but the pictures were cool. Then we saw a dead pretty red cardinal bird outside :( It was sad. We saw the crew setting up the tent for homecoming and stuff. All in one free. Very fun. Before that I had some honey BBQ Fritos; I haven't had them in such a long time. They were delicious. Time for lunch, wow you all must think I'm fat and weird cause all I talk about is food so far in this post. I'm not fat though. I actually hate eating, and butter. I hate butter! Anyhow, tomorrow is homecoming!! WOOhooo! Get excited.

So, this is pretty cool, having a blog. I've never had one before so I'm excited. Most of this blog is going to be about how I'm going to Colorado in January for about 4 months, or until May something like that. I AM SO EXCITED TO GO. It will be a blast and apparently there are less than 100 days until I leave!!!! The town in Colorado is called Leadville; it's a small t0wn and there used to be a lot of mining there. But for all intensive purposes I'm pretty much going to be in the middle of freaky nowhere!! But, hey, like I said, I can't wait. My friends are really excited that I will hunt squirrels when I'm there; we'll see about that. I figured out how to make ♥s on the internet today, courtesy of a certain person. So now I have to go do some homework! YAY.
Until next time.......
