Right now I'm in Michigan. Yesterday I visited Hamilton and Colgate; they were good even though we had to drive through practically a blizzard to get there. So from New York we drove through Canada to get to Michigan. The customs official was quizzing us about stuff, to see if we were illegal or something. Luckily we made it back into the U.S. Then we missed our exit and had to drive around Detroit for a bit, but we found the road finally. There is some snow on the ground and I slipped on the ice when I went running this morning. It hurt. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! YAY!! I thought I would copy Caroline and add a list of what I'm thankful for, hahaha; this is not in order of what I like best, just in the order that I thought of them in.
1. Pie. All kinds, I don't discriminate when it comes to dessert.
2. Music; its what got me through a 7+ hour car trip, plus it is essential to my life in general.
3. Snow! I love it, a lot.
4. I love my friends, they are awesome!
5. Socks!! Without them my feet would be cold.
6. Air mattresses; I slept on one last night and it was very comfortable.
7. Books, especially some of the great American classics like Harry Potter and Twilight.
8. William Beckett. Enough said.
9. Carl, I love my doggie. I feel bad though that he has to be in the kennel for thanksgiving.
10. Cameras; you can do so much cool stuff with them- I took this cool picture of a pencil at Colgate, I like it.
11. Ceilings; Imagine life without a roof. That would suck.
12. Colorado!! I think like 57ish days until I leave, I cannot wait!
Theres so much more stuff that I love, except for salmon and essays. Those two will never be on my list.
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!

Politics
So America has a new president. Its Obama. I'm not 100% thrilled as maybe you can tell. I understand that it is a big step to have our first black president, not just for America but for the world; however, just because he is black doesn't mean he'll make a good president. Also, I don't really agree with some of his policies and other generally democratic ideas. Obama doesn't have that much experience either, in my opinion. I think that Sarah Palin is she was VP, it would have been equally historical as Obama's presidency. She has experience too, and she built up her career all by herself. That, I think, is true feminism. I think that the Republicans need to get their act together in the next four years. Granted, I would have preferred McCain, but he wasn't the best candidate either. Hopefully Obama will make good decisions and do what America needs.
